This book presents clear, simple to follow steps and suggestions to ensure my next garage sale is successful. Simple tips as choosing the right location may sound simple but I can relate as this advice made a big difference for us. I can tell this book is written by somebody that has really been there and done that. You can't beat the amount of good tips for this price. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
This is a great book,anybody in the garage sale business or just selling your own staff, this book has simple and powerful method.
I wish author comes up with second edition.
I just moved and this book is a golden nugget.
I would have considered the sale a success if I had just gotten rid of my stuff.
But this book had a LOT of information inside that left me with a nice heavy wallet.
The book contains tips like
-Price guides for common items
-Advertising techniques (with tons of examples)
-How to adjust and negotiate prices throughout the day
Even the smaller tips/sections were great. I learned the best time to hold a garage sale, and where to hold it (Hint Your house may not be the best location).
If you're planning a yard sale, this book has a lot of bang for your buck!
This Books Sucks. I would not recommend it to anyone I know. Look for other books if you want have a garage sale.
As a complete garage sale newbie, this book gave me a lot of tips that make me feel so much more confident that my garage sale will be a success. Checklists so I don't forget things, how to keep my money secure and how to write a good advert, and put up effective signs. Obviously Ms. Crowley has a lot of experience with successful garage sales, and she shares her knowledge very clearly in this book.
Organized format, easy to read with lots of helpful information. Besides how to basically structure the sale, there are many hints passed on which were obviously learned from the author's extensive experience.
